Your Responsibilities • Take full ownership of accounting across six legal entities, including joint ventures • Manage monthly and annual financial closings under HGB and IFRS • Oversee VAT reporting and statutory compliance requirements • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across all entities • Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes • Drive process improvements and automation within DATEV and related finance systems • Support the development of scalable finance structures as the company grows • Act as the accounting lead within a small finance team (AP/AR and working student support) • Collaborate closely with the CFO on finance transformation initiatives Desired Qualifications • Proven experience in a senior accounting or general ledger role within an SME, startup, or scale-up environment • Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards • Experience with multi-entity accounting and ideally joint ventures • Good understanding of VAT and statutory reporting requirements • Hands‑on experience with DATEV or similar accounting systems • Strong process improvement and automation mindset • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of accounting processes • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Comfortable working in a fast‑changing, growth‑oriented environment Following the appointment of a new CFO, the finance function is undergoing a phase of professionalisation and scaling.

This role sits at the centre of that transformation and offers a high level of ownership, visibility, and impact. The successful candidate will take responsibility for establishing robust accounting processes across multiple legal entities and supporting the build-out of a scalable finance function in a growing environment.

This is a hands‑on role suited to an experienced accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with process improvement and system optimisation.
