The Role

A technical, hands-on role where you will:

• Drive month-end and year-end closing (Monatsabschluss und Jahresabschluss) with strict local HGB compliance.
• Coordinate finance across four international subsidiaries, managing pre-bookings and intercompany reconciliations via local tax advisors.
• Develop and optimize the NetSuite ERP, transitioning manual accounting tasks into automated workflows.
• Navigate operational ambiguity with a pragmatic startup mindset, balancing 80% speed vs. 100% legal precision.

The Essential Requirements

• 7+ years financial accounting / Finanzbuchhaltun) in tech startups/scale-ups (no Big 4 or rigid corporate backgrounds), with a track record of building robust internal controls from messy early-stage data.
• Technical proficiency configuring and improving NetSuite or similar modern ERPs such as Dynamics, SAP or Workday.
• Deep expertise in German local GAAP (HGB), asset accounting (Anlagenbuchhaltung), and full-cycle ledger management.
• Bilingual proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken).
• High tolerance for ambiguity in a cash-flow-negative growth environment with evolving processes.
• Committed to working on-site in the Munich office 5 days per week.
