Senior Accounting Expert / Accountant (m/f/d)

In this role you prepare and consolidate financial statements under HGB and IFRS for Freudenberg Group entities, ensure accurate day-to-day accounting, and serve as the SAP FI-GL expert. You will integrate with group reporting and VAT processes while contributing to finance projects. You work closely with cross-functional teams to meet internal and external deadlines, shaping robust financial operations at scale.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per HGB and IFRS for partnerships and C/GmbH within Freudenberg Group
• Record all day-to-day business transactions accurately and resolve accounting issues per HGB and IFRS
• Act as General Ledger key user for SAP maintenance, process reviews, and development
• Maintain chart of accounts and SAP FI-GL balance sheet interfaces with group reporting system
• Prepare monthly VAT returns and deliver ad hoc analyses to meet deadlines
• Contribute to finance and accounting projects

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Multiple years of professional experience in financial accounting and annual accounts under HGB/IFRS
• Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS standards
• Very good SAP FI-GL skills; SAP S/4Hana experience desirable
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
• German language proficiency (C1) and good English (B2)
