Application Deadline : Sunday, July 12, 2026 Responsibilities In this position you will be the subject matter expert (SME) on payroll matters. The scope of responsibility covers payrolling for both Locally Employed Staff (LE Staff) and the members of the US diplomatic corps, following the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of State.
You will be required to apply thorough expertise in both, the German social security system (GSSS) and U.S. government payroll processes.
Payrolling for LE Staff in Mission Germany is inseparably interlinked with local social security matters: employees receive their compensation based on bi-weekly Time and Attendance (T&A) and payroll reporting, and as that compensation is subject to local social security contributions, you must have a keen knowledge of the GSSS to ensure smooth handling of the payroll work and to guarantee successful customer engagement.
Qualifications You have completed two years studies at the College/University level or a completed Vocational training, with the focus on personnel management, social security administration, business administration, accounting, tax consultation, or equivalent. In addition, you have been able to gain work experience in payroll processing.
